A Sharp X68000

What you see above is admittedly a rather expensive and definitely overpriced specimen, but I haven't seen one appear on eBay for quite some time now and it does look good. Besides, the Sharp X68000 is a home computer that is really rare outside Japan. And it's got some jaw-dropping arcade ports too. So, as the seller does ship worldwide and does offer 5 games with the computer, you might be interested in this Sharp X68000 auction. Seller ships worldwide. It's definitely overpriced, mind.

Atari Jaguar CD & Six Games

Atari Jaguar CDIt might look like a toilet seat, but the CD add-on for the Atari Jaguar was a rather impressive piece of kit back in 1995. And it sported -not unlike the Xbox 360- a Virtual Light Machine by Jeff Minter. What's more, the Jaguar CD is where the vibrant Jaguar homebrew/indie scene is publishing its work and thus an essential accessory for the modern Atari retro gamer.

To grab a fully working Jaguar CD complete with 6 games follow the cunningly hyper-texted Jaguar CD @ eBay link. Seller ships worldwide and will be sending you some of the best Jag CD games ever released, namely Highlander, Myst and Dragon's Lair.

Rush Rush Rally Racing (Dreamcast)

Apparently the Dreamcast is still getting some excellent new games and not all of them are shmups. Take Rush Rush Racing for example. It's a fantastic top down racer with excellent graphics, that sports single- and multi-player modes, 4 difficulty levels and at least 19 race tracks. Oh, and you can find out more and grab an excellently priced copy over at Play-Asia.

Commodore SX-64 Portable Color Computer

Commodore SX-64You've got to be fast with this one, but it's definitely worth your attention as the Commodore SX-64 is quite a rare little thing. It's the portable sibling of the Commodore 64, complete with colour screen and disk drive, and you can find out more about this 23-pound wonder of miniaturization over at Wikipedia, OldComputers.net, Vintage Computers and/or of course the aptly named SX64.net.

To actually own one (the one pictured above to be precise) and (at the time of posting) for a good price, do try this Commodore SX-64 eBay auction. US only.

Preparing to (re-)launch RT!

Retro Treasures is back! Yes, yes, it really is. Or it will actually be back very soon; right after some minor technical glitches are fixed and some behind-the-scenes upgrades are introduced to the blog. Oh, and if you'd like to suggest new features or would like to share an idea, this is the right time.

Cheers everyone!
