Commodore CDTV

A true pioneer, the Commodore CDTV was way more than an Amiga 500 with a CD-ROM drive and a fancy wireless remote. It was an attempt to bring multimedia and gaming right into the living room and onto the family TV. Sadly, it failed, but happily you can still learn more about the attempt here and attempt getting yourselves one over at ebay's cyber auction house.

It's not everyday a CDTV hits ebay you know, and this seller ships worldwide. CDTVs usually sell around 20£/35$.

Commodore Amiga 500+ Cartoon Classics

The Commodore Amiga 500+ was the final version of the 16-bit Amiga 500 home computer. It came with 1MB of RAM, sported an A520 modulator and the impressively multitasking Workbench 2.04. As for the cunningly named Cartoon Classics box set, well, it included an Amiga 500+, the classic 2D graphics programme Deluxe Paint 3, Lemmings, The Simpsons vs the Space Mutants and the rather shite Captain Planet eco-awareness game.

Happily anyone in the world can now grab an almost new Cartoon Classics Amiga over @ ebay. Just make sure you pay less than 30£/55$50 euros.

Snatcher for Sega Mega CD

Snatcher, a game by Hideo Kojima, is arguably the best thing you'll ever play on your Mega CD (a.k.a. Sega CD in the US). It's a dark, adult, violent, engrossing and frankly very easy graphic adventure, sporting some excellent manga graphics, a cyberpunk plot of rare quality and an impressive voice-over. It also is the only game of the Snatcher game family aimed at the English speaking crowd. You can find out more over at Hardcore Gaming 101 or at Moby Games.

The game, quite a rarity, has indeed showed up on ebay.co.uk again, but this time it's quite the bargain, as the seller offers free shipping, even though only for European and US residents. So, uhm, better click here to bid on Snatcher.

Panzer Dragoon Saga for Sega Saturn

The sole RPG in the Panzer Dragoon series by SEGA, released for the Sega Saturn in 1998. Panzer Dragoon Saga was developed as an RPG, rather than a rail shooter. The player's experience of the game was greatly enhanced by the distinctive soundtrack throughout the game. So large was the initial demand for the game, a shortage developed with many stores unable to meet their preorders for the title.

Sega Saturn Modem and Keyboard

Online gaming is a standard feature of all current gen consoles. But way back in the mists of time (the mid Nineties) it was the saturn that was leading this innovative step forward on it's flagship console The Saturn. Released in Japan only, this Saturn modem and keyboard are as rare as rocking horse shit, and if it wouldn't get me into loads of trouble I'd buy them in a heartbeat. Marvel at its beauty here.

Alex Kidd Master System and 10 games...

Ah! Alex Kidd, Sega's ill fated original mascot! Before Sonic flaunted his spikey blue speed riddled ass all over the world, Sega had a rather odd looking posterboy in our Alex. The oldest Master Systems have an Alex game built in, and this fine example has a bundle of games to go with it, and is obviously in full working order...

A brilliant bundle for any Master System wannabe... In fact there is a rather Master System lacking Gnome out there who could do a lot worse than taking advantage of this particular lot.

Have a look here...

Ye Panasonic 3DO Controller and 5 games

No console and controller aside, not just any five games mind you.

The Daedalus Encounter
Way Of The Warrior
Escape From Monster Manor
Microcosm
and Immercenary.

3DO controller + 5 games from the bowels of ebay

Of course a 3DO is essential to enjoy this ebay lot to it's fullest, but a technicality like that is unlikely to put you off. Psssst!

Donkey Kong Country SNES

Donkey Kong Country (MobyGames entry) isn't the cheapest SNES game available and rightly so. It's a graphically jaw-dropping and extremely playable platformer developed by Rare, that made people who saw it believe it was running on the then-unreleased N64. It's an absolute SNES must have. Simply click to bid for a boxed version of the game over @ ebay. Seller ships to Europe only.

Vectrex console & games

Usually going for 50-75£ in the retro gaming market, the Vectrex (first release: 1982 US, followed by a 1983 UK & Japan release) is a pretty rare and very unique console, sporting a crisp 9" monitor and some pretty impressive vector graphics. The console only had 28 games officially released for it, but is happily supported from an incredibly lively homebrew and indy scene to this day (try the Vectrex resource center, Vectrexcarts and Vectorzoa) .

Residents of North & South America, Europe and Australia with even a passing interest in retro gaming might be interested in a pretty interesting Vectrex and video games ebay auction. The (boxed) games are Rip Off, Starship, Cleansweep and Scramble. As for the console, well, it's in mint condition but consoley flavour and obviously coming with the built-in Minestorm game and a fancy Vectrex controller.

Pokemon Pinball! Gameboy Colour!

This is a truly fabulous game and well worth the few quid it would cost you to buy it!

Why, by my reckoning you could pick this package up for about... ooohhh... not a lot.

...but if you did, you 'd have a lot of vibrating, pinball, Pokemon fun.

Say "Pikachu!" for shits and giggles!

Bonk3 Bonk's Big Adventures

Retro title for the Turbografx 16 or Turbo Duo systems. Bonk3 featured many new play schemes, including candies that made the player shrink and grow, and cooperative multiplayer. The story puts the player up against the Evil King Drool in the Dinosaur Kingdom. The Bonk of the title was a mascot for NEC Turbografx 16 console.

A Bonk3 Hucard* for the Turbografx 16 or Turbo Duo systems has appeared for sale on ebay and has attracted some rather frantic bidding, despite the game having a pending release on Nintendo's Wii Virtual Console.
